Duresme Court is on the southern edge of the city, a leafy ten minute walk over the river to the heart of the city and the Cathedral, Castle and University College which are set in the middle of a stunning UNESCO designated World Heritage Site. Under ten minutes’ walk to the West is the world-renowned Business School and the School of Politics. Heading into town down Potters Bank, the Schools of Law and Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and Geography are amongst others with a similar walking distance from Duresme Court.
Durham’s thriving nightlife is held in high regard by the North-East’s student population. Many of the city’s most popular hot spots, including the likes of student-friendly nightclub Klute and Osbourne's Bar, can be found on Elvet Bridge. Prince Bishops Shopping Centre and The Riverwalk are home to a mix of big-name stores, independent shops and delightful cafes, and both are a 10 minute stroll from Duresme Court.
